By Whose Stripes We Are Healed!

(1Peter 2:24) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you are healed.”

Jesus died on the cross for our sins that we could live life eternally in heaven. Since he died for our sins, when we accept Jesus as our Saviour we should die to our sins. Jesus sacrificed his life for us. For this reason we should let sin die out in us. God’s Spirit should take over our heart, soul, body, spirit, and mind. Flesh thinks everything is ok. This is a lie from Satan. Flesh is a mess and it can get you in a lot of troubles and trials.

(2 Corinthians 5:21) “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Jesus himself, took our sin upon his body for us even though he had never sinned. He did this so we could become the righteousness of God. In other words, that the righteousness of God would shine through us. We could never become righteous ourselves. The God in us, is righteous. We must let the God in us be greater than our natural man or woman. We do this by prayer, letting go, trusting him, and doing all the Bible tells us to do! If we can walk in his righteousness, we can claim his promise in (2 Peter 2:24), “by whose stripes we were healed. Health is in him. Everything we have need of is in him.

(Acts 17:28) “For in him we live and move and have our being; as certain also of our own poets have said, For we are also his off spring.”

(read Psalm 103)
